Kevin Kennedy, Water Plant Manager of the Sioux City Water Supply, accepted the award for excellence in providing high-quality water fluoridation, presented by SDHD I-Smile Oral Health Program Coordinator, on behalf of the CDC. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that 75 years of experience and research have shown water fluoridation is safe and effective in promoting oral health.
